    Amid continued uncertainty about tariffs and a tumbling stock market, it’s not surprising that an index measuring market conditions for trucking companies reports a second consecutive month of steep declines and the lowest reading since August 2017.     ਮੈਨੂੰ ਟਰੱਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੇਲਜ਼ ਦੇ ਬਿਜ਼ਨਸ ‘ਚ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦੇ ਨੂੰ 40 ਸਾਲ ਦਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਇੰਡਸਟਰੀ ‘ਚ ਤਰੱਕੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਤਬਦੀਲੀਆਂ ਵੇਖੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਮੈਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਦਾ ਵੀ ਪਤਾ ਹੈ ਜਦੋਂ ਕਿ ਟਰੱਕ ਇੱਕ ਗੈਲਨ ਨਾਲ਼ 3 ਮੀਲ ਚੱਲਦਾ ਸੀ ਪਰ ਹੁਣ ਜੋ 10 ਮੀਲ ਦੇ ਕਰੀਬ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।ਮੈਂ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਤੇਲ ਦੀਆਂ ਕੀਮਤਾਂ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਛੜੱਪੇ ਮਾਰਦੀਆਂ ਵਧੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਟ੍ਰਾਂਸਪੋਰਟਰਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਅਸਰ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ।ਟਰੱਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਭਾਰ ਹਲਕਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ, ਵਧੇਰੇ ਤੇਜ਼ੀ ਨਾਲ ਚੱਲਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਅਤਾ ਵੀ ਵਧੀ ਹੈ।ਪਰ ਇਹ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ ਅੱਗੇ ਨਾਲ਼ੋਂ ਹੋਰ ਮਹਿੰਗੇ। ਜੇ ਗੱਲ

    Volvo Trucks announced the new Xceed fuel efficiency package for Volvo VNL 760 and VNL 860 models operating in dry van and refrigerated trailer operations. The new fuel efficiency package will be available for order beginning in January of 2019 for 2020 models.     With its recent “advance notice of proposed rule making,” the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) is seeking to invoke tough new financial responsibility requirements on freight forwarders and brokers. New rules, including suspension and revocation of licenses, would punish brokers and forwarders who fall below $75,000 of federally required surety bonds. Brokers and forwarders have until Nov. 27 to provide comments and suggestions to help the FMCSA in implementing fair and efficient regulations.
