Compliance with the Heavy-Duty Inspection and Maintenance Regulation

The California Air Resources Board (CARB) staff invite you to participate in one of two public online reporting training webinars covering the Clean Truck Check-Vehicle Inspection System (CTC-VIS) reporting site updates as well as an overview of the emissions compliance testing aspect of the program. Clean Truck Check applies to nearly all diesel and alternative fuel heavy-duty trucks and buses with a gross vehicle weight rating over 14,000 pounds that operate in California. This includes federal, state, and local government vehicles; hybrid vehicles; personal vehicles; California registered motorhomes; single vehicle fleets; agricultural vehicles; and vehicles registered outside of California (not including motorhomes).

Clean Truck Check staff held four reporting training webinars in November and December 2023 and one in January 2024 to assist vehicle owners with meeting the reporting and annual compliance fee requirements for operation in California in 2023. The webinar on November 3, 2023, was also recorded. If your vehicle(s) have not yet been reported in CTC-VIS, CARB staff highly recommends watching this recording prior to registering for one of the webinars below. Seven training module videos have also been posted for those who only need to better understand a specific aspect of reporting. Visit the Database Reporting webpage to view all reporting training videos.

The upcoming webinars will be held via Zoom. Interested parties must register for a specific date to participate. CARB staff plans to record one of these webinars and post it on the Clean Truck Check Reporting page. Please register for the meeting you wish to attend. CARB staff asks that you only register for one of the sessions.
