EPA Announces Aggressive New NOx Rules

For the first time in the last twenty years, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is proposing new rules limiting heavy-duty truck nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions. NOx emissions include nitric oxide, nitrogen dioxide, and other tailpipe pollutants.

Industry leaders and engine manufacturers, however, believe the new rules would essentially make diesel engines obsolete.
